We stayed in a really comfortable, well-appointed cabin nestled amongst the trees. Everything is new and very well thought out. The cabin deck is huge, with a BBQ (food supplied as an option) and it’s your choice to sit at the table or at the edge bar.

The vista can be viewed from the deck of the café, and you are welcomed by hosts Ian and Trish to enjoy your evening drink from there to take in the views of Hinchinbrook’s Island and Passage. After a good night’s sleep, wander back down to the café and enjoy a continental breakfast and those fabulous views again!

Firstly wow just wow with the view breathtaking. Ian and Trish great hosts couldn’t do enough you very helpful lots of knowledge about the area so quite and peaceful. The cabin was fabulous and the BBQ pack was so good. Breakfast was good. the coffee was so good. We will be coming back.

A beautiful location looking over Hinchinbrook Island. This was an amazing location for us to stop before and after our hike on the thorsborne trail. Ian and Patrisha were very accommodating and even provided us with a packed breakfast for our early departure. They have lots of local knowledge and provide a great experience with lovely hospitality. Thank you!

Just had my first cuppa at Vista Hinchinbrook with my wife. World Class million dollar view and wonderfully warm welcoming hosts. Officially our favourite stop for a coffee in the area. We will go here again … repeatedly.

We were two couples and stayed in the extremely, well-appointed cabins nestled amongst the trees. The cabins are new and very functional, each cabin has a great deck, with a BBQ (food can be supplied if you wish and we utilized this service, more food than we needed for four persons).

Ian and Trish are wonderful hosts and gave us pointers on what to see in the area. We used the café deck for evening drinks and to enjoy the view over Hinchinbrook Island and then again enjoyed the view with our continental breakfast which was included.

Would highly recommend staying here if you are travelling up or down the coast, a great stopover spot.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the hosts Trish and Ian.
We had a pleasant 1 night stay in a newly refurbished cabin. Rainforest right behind the cabin and rain on the roof it was so good 😊
Enjoyed a couple of afternoon beverages on the deck, taking in the amazing view of Hinchinbrook island and surrounds.
We ordered a bbq pack which was all so fresh and tasty. It was very convenient to cook our own dinner when it suited us.
Breakfast was brilliant too, a continental buffet style. Even real coffee 😉 Thank you for a wonderful time and hope we can visit again! 😊

Having never stayed at a BnB, we were pleasantly surprised with our recent stay at Vista Hinchinbrook.

Trish and Ian were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They shared their local knowledge of the area both from places to visit and local indigenous information.

We stayed in one of their cabins and it was immaculate and had everything you would need for an overnight or longer.

If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet place to stay, with a couple of friendly hosts, and a delicious breakfast – you can’t go past Vista Hinchinbrook.

Well done Trish and Ian, your property is a credit to you both.

The hospitality was fantastic we have never had such caring host’s.

Such a warm welcome made as all feel so relaxed and the views are absolutely breathtaking I couldn’t stop taking photos.

Very impressed with our BBQ pack we ordered. Lovley to cook out on the deck and take in the beautiful views.

Our room was immaculate and clean and tastefully furnished.

Our one year old had a ball and they were very accommodating to his needs they made as all feel so welcome.

I highly recommend this place it’s unlike no other.

We can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I were looking for a long weekend getaway to explore the Ingham and Cardwell coastal rainforest areas, after some research I came across Vista Hinchinbrook that overlooked Hinchinbrook Island, and that view is the first thing you notice as you check in, breathtaking.

Right from the start when at checkin and we were greeted by Trish & Ian I knew we had made the right choice, they are both very friendly, welcoming and so helpful with their knowledge of the local area.

We stayed in the Cassowary cabin, it was spotless, well renovated and had every thing we needed for the stay. Breakfast was enjoyed on the veranda of the main building every morning and in the afternoons we made use of the table and chairs provided on the lawn in front of the main building overlooking Hinchinbrook Island for a glass of wine or two.

Our stay at Vista Hinchinbrook was great. Our Cabin was clean, tidy and modern. The owners were friendly and helpful and had a lot of local knowledge. Breakfast was a fresh spread of pastries, bread, fruits, yogurts, amazing coffee (all locally made). Perfect setting for some down time. The view leaves you speechless. ???? We will be visiting again. Thank you Vista Hinchinbrook Team!

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay at Vista Hinchinbrook. Each morning we woke up to a stunningly beautiful vista of Hinchinbrook Island and surrounds. Trish and Ian were excellent and generous hosts. They were full of great suggestions of waterfalls to swim in, and beaches and forests to walk in. The breakfasts were extensive and a great way to start the day. A truly magical place.

I’m not one to write reviews but this place deserves a shining review and well worth the visit. We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying 5!

We were welcomed by hosts Trish and Ian who made us feel like we were at home.

The Glider cabin was absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced with a view overlooking the hinchinbrook islands. If you are in the Cockatoo or Cassowary Cabins you are located within the serenity of the rain forest with access to the large main deck near the house where you can enjoy the view.

Each morning we were treated to a spread of continental breakfast with a freshly brewed coffee enjoying the views and surrounds which is included in your stay.

Thank you Trish and Ian for allowing us to stay and making us feel like apart of the family. We hope to get back there sometime soon!
